In a surprise for fans, Kit 9 Studios has released a new update for The Coffin of Andy and Leyley, featuring the first part of Episode 3.

Back in the March progress report, the developers shared details about the state of the game. Episode 3 is complete, featuring a transition to Episode 4, and four dead-ends. They also noted that the transition to Episode 4 ends on a cliffhanger, which could be divisive among the fandom. Seeking community feedback, they invited players to share their thoughts on this narrative choice.

It looks like the fans have spoken, and the first part of Episode 3 has officially launched. Dubbed the “Cry About It! Update,” it features Episode 3: Decay, the first half of the highly anticipated chapter in The Coffin of Andy and Leyley. The update also addresses numerous bugs while enhancing the game’s overall quality of life. Players are warned that the update may cause issues with existing save files.
