Following its successful launch last year, Nightdive Studios has announced that The Thing: Remastered is getting a physical launch.

The Thing: Remastered a physical launch for the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Fans will have the choice between the Standard Edition and the Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition will include the base game along with a steelbook case, a poster, a patch, and a replica of Captain Blake’s ID card. All of this will be packaged in a Deluxe Edition box.

The Standard Edition retails for $29.99 / €34.99 and the Deluxe Edition will go for $49.99 / €54.99. They will become available on June 25th and they are now available for pre-order.

The Thing: Remastered launched for all major consoles and the PC digitally on December 5th, 2024. Players return to Outpost 31 and experience experience the conclusion to the John Carpenter horror classic. It featured new gameplay elements that improved its quality of life while also preserving its defining aspects.

Originally released in 2002, The Thing serves as a follow-up to the horror classic from John Carpenter. Set three months after the events of the movie, a Special Forces team is deployed to investigate the radio silence at Outpost 31. Upon their arrival, they encounter an alien parasite that could also mimic its victims. It now becomes a battle of survival and trust between the player and their squad.

The movie it follows was released in 1982 and stars Kurt Russell, Keith David, Wilford Brimley, and Richard Mauser.
