Gunpla builders who want to start the new year doing what they love will be happy to learn that Sour Cherry Comics has announced the date for their first Gay Gundam of 2026.

Gay Gundam Night will take place on January 28 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sour Cherry Comics. This event is a great opportunity to meet other Gunpla builders in the San Francisco area, whether you are new or experienced. Attendees can learn from fellow builders or get an introduction to the local Gunpla community in a welcoming space. Guests are encouraged to bring their own Gundam model kits or purchase one directly from the store.

This event is free and open to everyone.

Sour Cherry is a lesbian-owned comic book store and workspace based in San Francisco. They are known for selling unique comics / graphic novels and other works. They also provide a creative space for comic writers and artists of different backgrounds. Fans are invited to check out their merchandise and attend the many events they host.

Gundam is a media franchise that follows an interstellar conflict involving mobile suits. The franchise includes the main series, followed by numerous spin-offs, along with video games and models (dubbed Gunpla). The original series, Mobile Suit Gundam, follows the One Year War between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon.
