The remake will allow fans to enjoy the third game on modern consoles with updated graphics and animations, along with a reorchestrated soundtrack. New features include new Wanzer customization, quick combat mode, and support for multiple languages.

Front Mission 3 is the third game in the series and follows the events of the second game. Following the successful breakaway of the People’s Republic of Alordesh, other nations in the Oceania Cooperative Union are looking to break away. This has created a cold war between the OCU and the People’s Republic of Da Han Zhong. Tensions come to a head when a JSDF base is attacked, which could lead to a war between the two powers.

Front Mission is a turn-based mecha JRPG that often follows conflicts between regional unions and economic blocs. The series is known for its rich storytelling along with its RPG gameplay. Players take command of a squad of wanzers (“walking tanks”) who they must command in battle. The first two games were only released in Japan, while Front Mission 3 was the first title to see a global launch.
