Update 1.0.9 for Front Mission 2: Remake is now available, and it fixes numerous performance issues along with bugs and glitches.

The first major update since January 2025, Update 1.0.9 for Front Mission 2: Remake adds some quality of life improvements. It also addresses numerous bugs and improves the gameplay. Most of the updates address minor bugs and glitches that have caused issues for players.

Update 1.0.9 Improvements

Here is the breakdown of the improvements made with Update 1.0.9 to Front Mission 2: Remake.

Improvements

  • Completely reworked English localization for campaign dialogues, tutorials, stats, and UI
  • UI enhancements across Shop, Setup, and Battle panels
  • Adjusted difficulty balance for Stage 10 and Stage 17
  • Improved animations during Quick Battles

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed resolution and windowed mode issues on PC
  • Fixed a camera bug when using long-range weapons
  • Resolved a problem where attacks triggered by multi-hit skills were incorrectly counted as separate skills.
  • Fixed unit setup issue during the intermission before Stage 16
  • Various minor bug fixes

Front Mission 2: Remake first launched on the Nintendo Switch in 2023 followed by additional consoles and the PC in 2024. Set 12 years after the event of the first game, the People’s Republic of Alordesh wants to break away from the Oceania Cooperative Union (OCU). When a second coup is launched by elements of the military, OCU forces are deployed to restore order. 

The Front Mission series is a turn-based mecha JRPG that often follows conflicts between regional unions and economic blocs. The series is known for its rich storytelling along with its RPG gameplay. Players take command of a squad of wanzers (“walking tanks”) whom they must command in battle.
