Old school anime fans will be excited to learn that Crunchyroll will be releasing Season 1 of FLCL on Blu-Ray.

FLCL – Season 1 – Blu-ray will be available on the Crunchyroll Store starting July 30th. It will feature all six episodes of Season 1 along with the trailer, outtakes, and music videos. It’s currently available for pre-order at a discounted price of $29.99.

FLCL follows Naota Nandaba whose life is turned upside down after an encounter with Haruko Haruhara. Because of his N.O. channel, Naota is recruited by Haruko to help rescue Atomsk from the evil Medical Mechanica. The series first premiered in North America back in 2003 on Adult Swim. 

Crunchyroll is the largest anime streaming service, having been credited for introducing the medium to a greater audience. It’s also very active in the fandom community with its support for anime conventions (major and local).
