In response to the fan backlash over what many felt was a short game time, Sony has announced that the PlayStation 4 version of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be receiving another major price cut.

According to Sony Entertainment Network the price of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes in the UK has dropped from £29.99 ($49.47 USD) to £24.99 ($41.99 USD). This the second time the game has had a price cut with Konami issuing the first back in February.

Since this price cut is being issued by Sony and not Konami, Xbox One gamers will still have to pay the £29.99 price tag. There is no word if Microsoft plans to follow Sony’s example.

Meanwhile Ground Zeroes is being sold in America for $29.99 + tax for a hard copy or $20 for a digital copy. However many have also criticized this price tag as too high given the content of the game.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be the tenth game in the official canonical and will be acting as the prologue for The Phantom Pain. You can check out our review of the game here.
