Exposing the anti-Israel Bias in Call of Duty (April Fools)
The Call of Duty series may be action packed shooter but underneath the kill streaks is an anti-Israel bias that nobody has noticed until now.
An Insight for Bay Area Gamers
The Call of Duty series may be action packed shooter but underneath the kill streaks is an anti-Israel bias that nobody has noticed until now.
I have been playing Call of Duty ever since Modern Warfare came out on the Xbox 360 so many years ago, hence I’m a hard-core fan and a qualified expert on the series.ย I loved playing as heroes like John Price and Alex Mason while taking out some noobs in Nuketown.
Now that I’m older and wiser my feelings towards the series has changed when I noticed something unforgivable. The series has had a hidden anti-Israel bias ever since the release of Modern Warfare. I know it sounds crazy at first but here me out since I’m Jewish and thus an expert on the matter.
Video games make it easy to tell who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. Good guys use M16’s while the bad guys use AK-47’s. Its a simple set up but Activsion wants to add some diversity to the weapons rooster. This make sense since good guys get NATO weapons while bad guys should get more Russian weapons.
Yet in practice, the bad guys also use a lot of Israeli weapons. Think about; during “The Coup” in Modern Warfare, you’re being escorted by enemy soldiers armed with Uzi’s and it ends withย Khaled Al-Asad executing you with a Desert Eagle. In Modern Warfare 2, the Russian soldiers who are invading America are also equipped with IWI Tavor. In Black Ops, Cuban soldiers and the NVA are using the Israeli version of the FN FAL while the Viet-Cong has a good supply of IMI Galil ARM. Finally in Ghosts, the IMI Micro Tavor seems to be the standard weapons for the special forces of the Federation.
The message is obvious, Activision is trying to tell Americans that bad guys also use Israeli weapons along side the AK-47. They are feeding the ISIS and Hezbollah propaganda that Israel is a threat to world peace.
Good job Activision, you are supporting ISIS propaganda!
Try making a custom gamer tag in any Call of Duty game with an Israeli flag, go ahead and try! Notice that they allow gamers to use flags from every country in the world except for the flag of Israel? Citizens of Israel have to deal with this prejudice every day but now video games have become a battle ground with this hateful debate. By not featuring the flag, Activision is clearly saying to the world that they feel Israel is not a real country.
It’s obvious that Call of Duty is secretly trying to spread anti-Israel propaganda to the masses and its a shame that they have not been called out on it. I encourage Israeli and Jewish games to stand up and demand Activsion to stop promoting anti-Israel propaganda among its community!
Warning: This is an April Fools article that this is suppose to be a work of humor (FYI). Nobody at 8Bit/Digi believes Activision is trying to promote anti-Israel messages through the their games. Enjoy the LOL’s!
For a moment I thought this was the most piss poor work of journalism I have ever read then I saw the April Fools note and now I feel you missed a lot of good moments for a good joke
Is this suppose to be funny? Do you know how many women and children are killed by Israel every day in their illegal occupation of Palestin? I get you want to be funny on April Fools and make a few Call of Duty jokes but this is just fucked up. People are dying because of Israel terroism and all you do is make a joke about it!
I agree with Rob, given the political situation in the region makes this article distasteful. I’m not trying to be PC or anything but its better to have some class.
While Trump does not respect details, laws, and differences between individuals, our Constitution demands attention to all three. If the President of the United States won’t protect the laws of this country, thankfully we have judges who will.
Love the game but as an isreali its a shame that it dosen’t have the israeli flag i hope activion fix that soon
