It has been announced that David Tennant will be a guest at Silicon Valley Comic Con 2018.
ATTENTION all Whovian’s living in the Bay Area, this is not a drill. It has been announced that David Tennant will be a guest at Silicon Valley Comic Con 2018.
David Tennant is best known for his role as the Tenth Doctor in Doctor Who from 2005 – 2010 (being succeeded by Matt Smith). His other notable roles include Kilgrave in Jessica Jones, Barty Crouch, Jr. in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire along with as the voice of Scrooge McDuck in the DuckTales reboot.
He will be joined by comic icon Stan Lee, Adam Savage from MythBusters, Sean Astin from Lord of the Rings, acclaimed writer Gary Whitta, Mads Mikkelsen from Casino Royal, Jewel Staite from Firefly, Marvel Editor Jim Shooter, and Andy Weir who wrote The Martian. Also joining them will be Amber Nash and Lucky Yates from Archer just to name a few. More guests will be unveiled in the months leading up to the event.
Silicon Valley Comic Con 2018 will be from April 6 until April 8 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center along with the surrounding locations. 8Bit/Digi covered Silicon Valley Comic Con 2017 and we will be present at the 2018 event.

I love Doctor Who but given that he played a rapist in Jessica Jones, is it really appropriate to have David Tennant as a guest at Comic Con? Especially with the #MeToo movement and that too many perves use comic con as an excuse to grope or harass women it feels distasteful.
I regret spending $150 to meet Peter Capaldi when I could have meet David Tennent at SV Comic Con. Oh well I’m still coming to meet him.

My friend and I went to SV Comic Con and signed up at a table there to view a free screening of the movie Bad Samaritan starring David Tennant. He showed up at the theatre and came up on the stage to talk to the audience before the screening. When the movie started to play, my friend got up to buy candy in the lobby and David Tennant was there. She had a conversation with him and he was super friendly and nice. We got some swag from the film at the screening. It was a great Con and seeing David Tennant was the best part.
